Paycent Review: Cryptocurrency and Fiat Money Debit Card

Paycent is a mobile wallet that comes with a virtual card and physical card that allows consumers and merchants to convert and exchange cryptocurrencies into into their local currency to make purchases and withdrawals. Paycent card was launched in Singapore in March 2018.

Paycent Supported cryptocurrencies include Bitcoin (BTC), Litecoin (LTC), Ethereum (ETH), DASH, XRP, DigiByte (DGB), Verge (XVG), Dragonchain (DRGN), Binance Coin (BNB) and Paycent’s PYN currency.

Exchanges occur securely on Paycent’s blockchain network without the need for traditional intermediaries, like banks and wire services, or even the need to take national borders into consideration.

Paycent Features

Paycent enables users to do the following:

  • Paycent money transfer. This feature allows users to send and receive digital assets from other Paycent users and external digital and mobile wallets anytime and anywhere.
  • Request digital assets. This features enables users to request digital assets from other Paycent users wherever they may be.
  • Paycent split bill. You can split bill with your Paycent contacts. Maximum participants in split bill is five including you.
    You can choose to either split the bill equally or customize the amount then tap
  • Cash in. This feature allows users to add credits to their Paycent account through Paycent Visa, Paycent MasterCard, Alipay, UnionPay, and WeChatPay.
  • Cash out. This feature enables users to cash out their Paycent credits anytime through Paycent Card.
  • Convert. Paycent crypto feature allows users to convert digital assets to fiat with low conversion rates.

How to Sign Up

You can sign up on the web or on Paycent apps, Android or iOS. You need to enter your personal details including your name, currency, and mobile number. You should confirm your mobile number to continue to receive a one time message to verify your mobile phone number. You then need to enter the password that was sent via SMS then tap “Next” button. Success message will be displayed once information has been complete

After completing the “Sign Up” process, close the Paycent App and check your email or spam folder for email with the subject line: “Welcome to Paycent!”. Then click the link to verify your email address. A confirmation will be sent to your email address once your email is verified

How to Add Funds to Paycent Card

There are four methods for adding funds to your Paycent card. You can add via a debit card, a bank account, a voucher or a merchant. Once you login to your Paycent account, tap “Add Funds” on your dashboard. The next screen will give you the option to select which method you would like to use.

Supported Cards

Paycent offers the following cards: Paycent China UnionPay Card, Paycent UnionPay International Card, Paycent Mastercard and Paycent Visa.

Paycent Supported Countries

There are more than 200 Paycent card countries except for North Korea, Sudan, Iran and Cuba. In those countries, Paycent users can cash out cryptocurrencies in their local currencies.

You can also go for crypto friendly bank accounts if you want additional services that are not possible with Paycent. Revolut is more advanced and also comes with a multi-currency account including your own bank account numbers. The Crypto feature is mostly for investing though and is less advanced.
